Hi! I’m Ms. Jasmine!

I’m the owner of Nature Friend’s Montessori School! In ​addition to the other amazing teachers, I will be your child’s ​personal teacher!

I have degrees in English and certificates in Montessori ​Education. I also have over 8 years of experience teaching ​preschool children at a Head Start school. When it comes to ​teaching, my focus is on literacy. I help children to have a ​love for reading and exploring new books and a passion for ​writing and expressing themselves. Outside of the ​classroom, I love volunteering in my community as a ​community cat caregiver and offering virtual assistant ​services to online business owners. I am a very caring ​person and also enjoy teaching children how to have a love ​for nature. Not only that, but I want children to practice ​daily self-love. Our program is perfect if you are looking to ​instill this in your child during their formative years! I have ​extensive experience in the field of early childhood ​education and now I get to teach YOUR child online!

Think online learning equals “educational” video games? Not here my friend! We loathe (with a passion) those mind-numbing and ADHD-behavior-inducing “educational” video games.

At our school, we use The Fundamental Preschool Curriculum, an activity-based curriculum with developmentally appropriate activities that will prepare your child for kindergarten, first grade, and second grade in as little as 1 hour each day! We also focus on our Montessori ages 3-5 Curriculum.

There’s no need for you to supplement the curriculum at home!

​Do parents have to print things off or help outside of preschool class?

• No. Our curriculum is designed to be hands-on and self-contained within our 1-hour preschool class each day so you don’t have to supplement additional curriculum during the day.

​Do parents have to buy art materials?

• No. There are no supplies required. We do a parent portal to access resources to engage your child outside of class.

​Are there other costs besides my monthly tuition?

• No. There are no extra costs.

​Is this an online “learning” video game?

• No. There are NO video games in our online preschool program.

​What’s the difference between your online preschool and Hooked on Phonics or ABC Mouse?

• The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests that preschoolers have no more than 1 hour of screen time. Would you prefer your child use that hour on high-intensity video games or on face-to-face social interactions to prepare your child in EVERY WAY to develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and linguistically? We believe preschool is a hands-on experience, and playing video games to “learn” isn’t how we do things at online preschool.

​What if my child is shy, active, loud, crazy, etc.?

• After 20 years of teaching in person and online, we think we’ve seen just about every type of person there is. We’re excited to teach your child and help him or her have a wonderful experience!

​What requirements do I need to participate?

• You’ll need internet and a laptop or desktop computer.

​ I’m not technical. Will you show me how to log in?

Yes. We’ve put together amazing video trainings that will walk you through how to log into our parent portal. It’s easy!

​What platform is this using?

• We use Zoom, a free platform for our parents. The links we use to join our online classroom are exclusive to our families so no one else can access the online classroom and password protected. Plus, our online classroom is monitored by a teacher at all times when in use. We also use ClassDojo for Teacher Time lessons.
